New Power-IMU 2023
Following the successful market launch of the GEMAC Motus®, in 2023 GEMAC will expand the existing sensor portfolio with new innovative product solutions. In addition to the new GEMAC Motus® BLACKLINE version in plastic housing, the low-cost GEMAC Motus® GREENLINE variant will round off the portfolio.
With the GEMAC Motus® — the first power IMU for mobile power machines — a sensor measuring unit configurable for a wide range of applications has been developed, which enables 6‑axis motion detection on mobile machines, such as construction machinery, agricultural machinery, forestry machinery, crane and lifting technology, as well as on ships.
GEMAC Motus® BLACKLINE
GEMAC Motus® BLACKLINE will have comparable technical features and also offers cost-effective variants with the plastic housing and different accuracy types.
- High precision measurement of static (±0.1° to ±0.3°) and dynamic (±0.25° bis ±0.5°) accuracy
- Increase of the measuring speed by calculations in the measuring unit
- Automatic and individual configuration of the attachment position and axes for tilt output
- Flexible zero point adjustment and precise calculation of all angle formats
The self-developed sensor fusion algorithm also used in GEMAC Motus® BLACKLINE for high-precision orientation calculation is now even more robust thanks to further optimizations. Sensor fusion filters suppress external accelerations. Individual sensor fusion configurations allow filter dynamics to be deactivated (adaptive damping) and the damping factor to be set manually for even more stable output values in very dynamic applications or continuous movement of a mobile machine.
GEMAC Motus® BLACKLINE will be available in three basic types with different technical specifications:
- Acquisition of static and dynamic inclination, acceleration and rotation rate
- Acquisition of static and dynamic inclination
- Acquisition of static inclination
GEMAC Motus® GREENLINE
The portfolio will be rounded off by the GEMAC Motus® GREENLINE product line. With an accuracy of ±0.5°, the main focus is on the size and flexibility of the sensor.
Slimmer design offers the possibility of flexible mounting of the sensor on the mobile machine, which is made possible with a variable (and customized) mounting plate and hole patterns.
Both product lines are available for five different interfaces: for the analog interfaces current and voltage as well as for the digital interfaces CAN, CANopen and SAE J1939. On customer request, they are also available in different colors for projects.
